The term “adaptive leadership” is often too vague to be helpful, so we’ve made it simple to understand and remember. To be more adaptive, you need to increase your Curiosity, Courage, and Care beyond what comes natural for you.
You can actually use this little exercise to try it out right now:
- Which of the 3Cs (choose only one) do I need to develop to solve my biggest business challenge right now?
- How can the other two Cs help me do that?
That’s how it works. If you’re leading a change initiative and need your team to grow in their adaptivity, simply ask person that same question. There’s no need to define the terms. Let their answers do that.
